Gabriela Hoyos is an Immunologist with 15 years of experience in the development of antibody-based drugs for inflammation and oncology, from concept to IND. She leads the Immunobiology group responsible for the functional in vitro and in vivo studies of Aptevo’s drug candidates, from early to late stages of development, and serves as scientific lead for programs in oncology and inflammation. Prior to joining Aptevo, she worked as a Senior Scientist at Zymogenetics, where she served as a scientific lead for discovery programs in autoimmunity. She received her B.S. from The National University of Mexico, her Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, UK, and conducted postdoctoral research at the California Institute of Technology, CA, and at the University of Washington, WA, in areas of cellular and molecular immunology.
